1.Do not be a douche. We cannot stress this enough. If we feel you are harassing other players, being overly rude to the mods, or acting like a general douche, we will remove you from the game.
2. Everyone must be 18 years of age or older due to adult subject matter.
3. IC | OOC: There is a line there, don't cross it. Just because someone doesn't like your character, it does not mean that their mun does not like you. Let's all act our ages.
4.We are het and slash friendly. However, if there is canon proof suggesting that a character is either heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, or some other form of sexual, they are to remain the same unless you can provide proof and/or strong conjecture which supports your decision for the change. Please note that you are expected to provide that proof along with your application. If you do not, there is a chance your application will be denied.
5. While it is not required, it would be a good idea to have AIM for OOC plot purposes.
1. Above all else, the rules of the canon your character comes from are to be the main rules you are to follow for your character. For example: Spike is a vampire from the Joss!verse. Therefore, he can be killed according to the Joss!verse rules (decapitation, exposure to sunlight, stake through the heart, etc.). He cannot be killed by the Colt that the Winchesters use in Supernatural as that is not his canon and bullets do not harm vampires from his canon.**
2. Please do what you can to keep your character as in-character as possible. We allow for some creative leeway but will speak to you if it becomes an issue.
3. There is no current limit to the amount of characters you can have in the_hunted, but only if you are able to play each character fairly and consistently. Should you start 'hoarding' characters, we will make you drop a few.
4. You may play two major characters per fandom. Others will be on a case by case basis as we do realize some fandoms are simply bigger than others.
5. Journals can be used in multiple games but if you do a lot of personal entries, please set up a filter. We're not gonna be picky on journal names, as long as it relates to/fits the character in some way. Example: A perfect journal for Elle Bishop could be ellectric or shocktherapy.
6. You are allowed to bring your character in from any point in the canon that you wish. If you wanted to play Peter Petrelli from after he lost his memories, go for it. All we ask is that you place some sort of information somewhere in your character's journal/userinfo stating what point in canon they are from.
7. If you're going to play an animated character, please choose a real PB for them. Some people are uncomfortable interacting with cartoons. The only exception to this are the animated characters where a human PB is simply impossible to use. (A good example of this would be Ahsoka from Star Wars.)
8. Repeat PBs are fine. Actors play different roles and some seem to fit a non-casted character perfectly. We simply ask that any PB that is chosen fit the description of the character in some way.
9. Original Characters will not be allowed at this time.
10. All characters from new media have to wait a period of two weeks from the release date of their movie, book, comic, TV show, etc before being apped.
** While we realize some players do not agree with the views of the creators of their chosen fandoms, we at the_hunted consider the laws and rules set down by said creators to be the final say in how characters from their fandoms are portrayed. Please note that this does not mean we are not allowing personal interpretation of characters. It simply means that general rules (ie. ways to kill vampires/demons, the sexuality of a character, the way society from that fandom reacts to certain 'hot' topics, etc.) are expected to be adhered to, to the best of your ability, at all times. **
1. Extreme violence/non-con/incest/basically anything considered really dark or taboo MUST be behind an lj-cut and given a proper warning. Failure to do so will result in warnings up to and including asking you to leave the game.
2. This is a multifandom game, so interaction OUTSIDE of your own fandom is key to this game's success. Understandably some characters will feel more comfortable with people in their own fandom, but we'd like to see some pan-fandom interaction as well. Using hunted_network can help a great deal with this.
3. Canon Puncturing is defined as "a character discovering they are fictional". Please refer to this list to see which characters are, and aren't, allowed to be punctured. (Note: You must be a member in order to see the canon-puncturing post.)
4. You must post a minimum of once a month to the_hunted if you wish to remain in the game. We strongly encourage more interaction than that, of course, but realize that sometimes life gets in the way.
5. If you are going to drop a thread, please let the other person/people you are threading with know. Do not just stop replying. We realize that sometimes threads get forgotten or buried, but communication with your fellow players is essential.
6. We have entry tags. Use them. This is how we will be checking activity. Typically this will be the character's first and last name.
7. Marriages and Divorces don't happen overnight, and pregnancies must last at least three months unless there is something mystical/different about it. Both marriages and babies must be agreed upon by both muns in the storyline.
8.Strikeouts are deleted comments that should not be replied to, unless your character is able to do this.
9.Anything which may be considered 'new' to a fandom is to be placed behind an lj-cut with a spoiler warning. This is a common sense sort of rule and anyone who intentionally spoils others will be dealt with swiftly.
10.Please spell check and use proper grammar whenever possible unless it is not in character to do so.
